This gate is very nice, sturdy and stylish. Fairly easy to install. However it has 3 big white stickers on the black gate. One being about 20 inches long that are a real pain to get off. Took me forever, even with Goo Gone and the whole time I was fearful of damaging the gate! Made a huge mess. Manufactures need to rethink the sticker placement and go with something that peels off easier too!Dad and 10 year old daughter couldn't operate old baby gate so got this. It works great... looks nice! Like that it swings shut or we can leave it open for cats when neededWe have two Pitbull mix babies, so we have several gate up around our home!!! This gate by far is the Best gate I have ever purchased from anywhere! It’s durable, strong and VERY well made!!! If you are looking for a Quality gate this is the one for you!!!I bought this thing to keep my daughter out of the kitchen. I can now lay on the couch as she plays in the living room and halls with no fear of her pulling ever spice, pot, or pan out of my cabinets. However, I specifically bought this gate for the wide 23.5 in opening for a wheelchair to fit through. The opening is only a hair over 22 inches.I was really pleased with this gate for install and overall functionality and appearance. It has been in a doorway that gets almost no use, without any of the extenders, so it’s super sturdy. Yesterday I was back and forth through it more than I had been the entire 4-5 weeks since it’s installation. And last night, as I went through it one final time for the day, the post in the top of the gate broke off. The bottom post is metal (see my photos), but for some reason the top post is plastic. And broken and cannot be fixed. The most upsetting part is that this was never used for nor meant to contain a baby, so I definitely do not recommend this to parents of littles. I would have thought a gate advertised for baby safety would have withstood more than an adult opening and closing it 5 times in a single day.Using for dogs on back porch stairs. Like how it opens and closes. Door opens either way so ease and safety on stairs.
